Early help interventions support children and families as soon as problems emerge. Early help support is aimed at improving outcomes for children or preventing escalating need or risk.
Support will be provided either over the phone or through face-to-face meetings in a confidential space within the school. Our school Family Support Worker will work closely with you and your child to address any needs or concerns that may arise. If necessary, an Early Help Assessment (EHA) will be conducted to identify any gaps in support, as well as existing strengths. This assessment may lead to Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, where SMART targets will be set to drive positive change.
The thoughts, wishes, and feelings of children are always at the heart of our early help interventions. If any concerns arise that require a higher level of intervention, appropriate actions will be taken to ensure the child’s safety.
