What a fantastic start we have had to the half term. We have started our new topic of Traders and Raiders looking at the historical Saxons and Vikings! We started our topic by making life size boats in the hall ready for our travels accross the North Sea! I am very impressed with all the children's enthusiasm so far and I am excited for where we go with this topic. Creative homework has been given out and is due 2 weeks from today (Friday 18th November), we do have some spare sheets in our homework tray if required. As before, homework club is still on during Tuesday breaktime for any children in my class who need help.
A huge well done to Josh who has won do-jo star of the week and has taken Pedro (our class penguin) home for his first adventure. We are looking forward to ready about what Pedro has been up to with Josh! Another huge well done to William and Amelia who have been working very hard on there handwriting and have earnt themselves a full house of stamps and therefore a pen license! Amazing work! Keep it up everyone!! - Miss Shanahan

Our special visitor
This week, we were lucky enough to have a new arrival in 4S. Harry's pet frog Buster who came to stay with us for a morning. The children were all gentle and brave enough to hold Buster and we even let him climb up our whiteboard! We later did some research on Buster using the iPads and recorded information about him. It was a lovely day that we all enjoyed! A huge thank you to Harry and his family for allowing us to borrow Buster for the morning- from all of us in 4S!
As part of our engage, 4S took part in a fun filled day in the life of a wizard! We all [including the teachers] dressed up as witches and wizards and spent the day collecting and making our own potions. It was a great introduction to our topic and we all had lots of fun!
Today we have been learning about E-safety and the importance of having a secure password. We all made up our own passwords and tested them using the following website:
Well Done Jack- who was the winner and created a very long and complicated password that would take the computer years to crack!
A warm welcome
Hello and welcome to 4S!
This half term we are beginning our mysterious topic of 'potions'.
The children have already engaged with an excellent experience in 'a day in the life'. We came to school dressed up as witches and wizards and had a brilliant day in potions class!
I have been very impressed with the children so far this term and I know we are all determined to do well. Please remember that Mrs Heath and I are here to help where we can!
