Good morning. We are all tucking into breakfast. Everyone managed to get up on time as Mrs Stevens sang a beautiful version of the hairspray song 'good morning granby school'. Even the staff got their own version of good morning granby staff!
All children eventually got to sleep and only snoring could be heard.
All happy and ready for a fun packed day of high ropes, orienteering, or an adventure day, biking or caving.
All groups have returned to get ready for another delicious dinner (and hopefully a few showers!).
Miss Robinson's group have done the high ropes, including the zip wire, cargo net and the leap of faith, followed by an orienteering session to practise for Friday's competition!
Update so far. All groups are back indoors ready for tea. What a fabulous day we have all had. Mr Bond's group have enjoyed an adventure day - walking, caving and abseil off Millersdale bridge. Lots of smiles and great achievements.
Mr Lancashire's group have enjoyed orienteering round the grounds - practising for the competition on Friday. Also practised their climbing skills on the indoor climbing wall. They have then been caving - muddy, wet and a few squeezes. But they have all returned.
Mrs Shelton's group have also had a day onsite. It started with mountain biking around their track. Great successes - one child has now learnt to ride a bike and most of them have been on the advanced track! All of us got down in one piece 😀. The afternoon started with the zip wire, then the cargo net, then followed by the leap of faith. Next we went to the new outdoor caving - we all came out without seeing bears! Just a little wet. So we finished off the with the tyres of doom.
Evening activities have been eventful and fun. Tonight the woods have had eyes and filled with slippery, sneaky creatures lurking about ( looking very much like teachers). Lots of fun was had by all wandering around the grounds with torches looking for pie dishes, which were all worth points for their team. Some teams were more successful than others. We are now all starting our diaries so that we will always remember this trip. Then supper. Then bed. Another fantastic day and looking forward to tomorrow.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
