The start of this week has seen year 5 completing a newspaper about the execution of Anne Boleyn and us all taking part and learning a Tudor dance.
We we have had a fantastic afternoon making evidence for the reopened case of Anne Boleyn. We now have evidence to present in court next week. A huge thank you to everyone who was able to make it this afternoon and help with the making. Please look out for photos of how the evidence has been used next week.
The reading challenge has been completed and well done to Mrs Jameson, who was victorious. The teachers are currently in the lead, but all can change next week.
We we have shown more homework this week and it has been a pleasure to see how much work has gone in at home. A huge thank you for all your support with this. We really appreciate it.
Well done to all those children who have beaten their big maths scores and to those who have moved onto the next level.
Also so well done to the teachers who are now one game up on beat the teacher. A good game of guess who was played but the experience of Mrs Shelton has shone through this time. Can the children pull level next week?
Another week has flown by - we all still have our heads. We have continued to learn facts about Henry VIII and then have written our own biographies. We have also begun to paint portraits of various famous Tudors.
Looking forward to seeing the first set of homework on Friday.
Happy New Year - what a great start we have had already.
We are well under way with our new topic OFF WITH HER HEAD. Over this term we will be reopening the case of Anne Boleyn to find out if she was guilty. We have begun to research what Henry VIII was really like as a person and a King. We have also begun our paintings of Tudor Monarchs.
After a relaxing break we have all undertaken the Granby Mile. This term we will be playing football in our PE lessons - weather permitting. Please make sure you have suitable outdoor PE kit in school.
There has been lots of reading completed at home this holiday - now lots of children have progressed up the reading challenge tower. Also there have been celebrations in Maths Groups - numerous children have begun the year beating their learn its score and Clic. Keep it up.
