Following the government announcement regarding the possible relaxation of the current Lock-down procedures, Boris Johnson mentioned the POSSIBLE return to school of Y6 children. This was dependent on all of the Five Steps Tests being met, and on the continued downward trend of COVID19 related deaths and reported cases. A date was muted, but this was NOT CONFIRMED. Before any children can return to school, all the above criteria has to be met as well as school specific risk assessments related to staffing and individual building issues. Schools will work closely with the Local Authority and their unions to ensure that ANY opening is safe for all stakeholders.
So, in the short term, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
We will keep you updated as soon as we know any more information and dates for return.
In the meantime, please continue to observe the safety advice given by the government and continue to access learning for your child through the Seesaw platform.
School remains open for Key Worker families and some others as stated in the Government Guidelines.
