Frozen Kingdom

Welcome to the planet's coldest lands... vast wilds, hostile territories-incredibly beautiful yet often deadly. Take shelter from the elements or fall prey to the icy winds and deepest chill. Trek bravely and valiantly across treacherous terrain to the ends of the Earth, treading deep in snow, pulled by a team of mighty sled dogs.

Learning So Far...

Our class have been enjoying researching the differences between the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as revising aspects of world geography. We have learnt about the tragedy of the Titanic, have written a chronological report on the disaster and drawn a detailed sketch of th ship. We have moved on to understanding how animals and plants can be classified and have looked at the different food chains of the polar regions.

We have explored in great detail Scott’s expedition to the Antarctic with his team and researched the events of this fateful mission. Pupils wrote, reviewed, edited and published a diary entry in the style of a Robert Scott. Some of our class wrote theirs for display whilst three pupils published theirs using the app ‘Spark Video’. Hopefully, the three experts can later help the rest of the class use the features of this app! Have a look at their work below 😊
