Safeguarding our children is paramount to ensuring that they are safe and happy, both within school, at home and in the wider community. Being safe and happy allows them the opportunity to maximise their learning opportunities and reach their full potential.

The school works with a wide range of professionals to ensure that any issues around safeguarding which are raised, are dealt with promptly and in the best interests of the child concerned. Other people involved with the school may not always know this is happening, due to matters of confidentiality. We also appreciate that we may not always know things that happen outside school and in the wider community.

It is important that school and the school community can work together in this important aspect. Therefore, if you have any worries regarding the safeguarding of a child from our school, please contact us, or if it is urgent, serious and/or out of school hours, please contact the Police on the 101 number or  Out of hours Call Derbyshire (Children’s /Young Peoples and Adult Social Care) Tel: 01629 533 190
