More Creative Homework

We have had some more amazing creative homework! This research looks fantastic! :)

Creative Homework

Wow! How fantastic is this mountain cake?! Super work!

I bet it tastes as good as it looks! :)

Dear Diary,

Today, we have been busy writing a diary entry about climbing a mountain!

Throughout the week, we have been planning our ideas for the first paragraph by thinking about what we would take with us on this adventure, what we would wear, how we would prepare for it and how we would feel.

Today, we have worked on our second paragraph which involves setting up base camp. We thought about what we would see when we arrive, any issues that have occurred and how we actually set up our camp. We also worked on writing an outside/inside sentence. This tells the reader how we felt on the outside compared to how we felt on the inside!

The Yeti

Today we have been looking at images of the 'Yeti.' We have been using our imagination to explore ideas about the Yeti.

The Water Cycle!

Today, we have been learning all about the different stages of the water cycle!

We have even done our very own experiment to see how the water cycle works. This was very exciting! Take a look through our photos to see our wonderful water cycle display on our classroom window!

Mountain Gear Shopping!

This week we have been enjoying mountain gear shopping, exploring total costs of items, as well as finding change. Problem solving Friday, we have focused on the maths skills developed throughout the week to create our own mountain shop enterprises in class, negotiating costings for supplies.

Mountain Research

We worked in pairs to research mountain facts using IPads and books. We designed a poster with these facts on to share with the rest of the class. Everyone worked really well with their partners. Great job!

A Starry Night

We have been very busy recreating the wonderful painting, ‘A Starry Night,’ by Vincent Van Gough. Everybody put great effort into their picture and they all looked amazing!

David Attenborough and Mountains!

To begin our new topic we watched an episode of Planet Earth which focused on mountains. We learned all about different mountains and the animals that live on these beautiful giants. It was very interesting to watch this episode and it was a great way to get us focused with our learning!
